Vaccination is the best protection against the flu

2009 H1N1 Flu Vaccine is arriving in very limited quantities, and we are targeting this early vaccine to health care workers, children, pregnant women, and high-risk individuals. Vaccine is expected to be more widely available. Please continue to check back on this page for availability.

We are working with the federal government, local health departments and Google to provide you with easier way to find locations near you for getting both the seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccine. It's important to note that this project is just beginning and we have not yet received information about flu shot clinics for many locations. Please use the Google Flu Vaccine Locator Map tool to find a vaccine location near you.

Of course, you should still call flu vaccine providers ahead of time to find out more about availability and eligibility for the two vaccines.

Enter U.S. city or zip code in the tool below:

If you have problems with finding vaccine locations, see the County Health Department information below for contact or further details:

Washington County Public Health

Following newly released H1N1 vaccine guidance from the State of Oregon Public Health Division on 11/13/09, and the continued vaccine delivery delays, Washington County Public Health officials are focusing H1N1 vaccine to those at highest risk of flu complications within the priority groups. These people include:

  • Pregnant women
  • Children age 6 months through 5 years
  • Individuals age 5 through 64 with underlying medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart and/or lung disease
In addition we continue to vaccinate:
  • Household contacts of children under the age of 6 months
  • Healthcare providers and emergency medical services personnel

In support of this approach, Washington County Public Health is allocating most of its weekly vaccine shipments directly to healthcare systems and healthcare providers so that individuals at highest risk can get H1N1 vaccine from their doctors.

How Can You Get Vaccine?
  • If you have a healthcare provider (doctor, clinic), please call them to get an appointment. Remember vaccine is shipped weekly so you may need to check back with them.
  • If you do not have a healthcare provider, please call 503-846-8851. We have a limited amount of vaccine to distribute weekly for individuals without a doctor and who meet the criteria listed above.

Thank you for your continued patience. The shortage of H1N1 vaccine continues to make H1N1 vaccination efforts very challenging.
